UN seal the deal campaign
New World Hope Organization encouraged our people to become involved in Seal the Deal Campaign. The NWHO called on people to support UN seal the deal campaign by organizing a series of events such as, NWHO organized Lectures of environment awareness on climate change and a clean up campaign in Schools and Colleges in Pakistan. The events attracted many young people who were delighted to take such action and to have a say in protecting the planet. Thousands of students in Pakistan (Urban and Rural Areas of the country) supported the Seal the Deal! Campaign by signing the Climate Petition. NWHO urged to the students to get involved in the Seal the Deal campaign. Students, teachers, individuals, CSOs took part in seal the deal activities by stampings and signed their names on the cloths and Seal The Deal Petition Card.
The NWHO has collected thousands of signatures related to seal the deal petition across Pakistan and in Bangladesh (Dhaka), Asian Disaster Reduction & Response Network (ADRRN) Annual Meeting.
Climate change was the dominating issue during the ADRRN Annual Meeting on 27 -29 October 2009 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. During the meeting, which was also attended by “ADRRN 33 member organisations in 13 countries working in the field of disaster risk management: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Mayanmar, Nepal, Srilanka, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Australia”.
New World Hope Organization “Seal the Deal Campaign Partner” was on the spot to encourage ADRRN members to join the Campaign and NWHO’s Chairman collected signatures from ADRRN members, calling for action against global warming.
