NWHO Appeals to International Communities, all humanitarian organizations and kind hearted individuals to come forward and help the marginalized communities of District Mirpurkhas and Badin, Sindh, Pakistan. NWHO Flash Appeal Sindh Moonson Floods 2011 
10 September 2011 – Pakistan’s southern province of Sindh is facing disaster once more with heavy rains over the past ten days and there is fear that it might be worse than last year’s historic rains, According to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Pakistan 984,333 houses have been damaged and 199 people have died so far in 22 districts of Sindh. Total of 1,595,052 crops area have been affected. 222,941 people are currently in relied camps.
RESPONSE PLAN BY NWHO-The New World Hope Organization, one of the leading Humanitarian Organization mobilized their staffs and volunteers for in-depth assessment of the most affected Districts to direct the prioritization process and target assistance to the most vulnerable areas. The rapid assessment indicated that immediate humanitarian support is required for:
- Food Security, Agriculture and Livelihoods
- Health & Nutrition
- WASH
- Shelter & NFI’s
- Education
In response to the flood 2011, New World Hope Organization ( NWHO) has distributed 1,000 food and hygiene kits and portable drinking water and Family Ration Packs as well as water purifier tablets are also being distributed to most vulnerable flood-affected families in Badin and Mirpurkhas districts in Sindh province. The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was held on, 31 March 2008 in honour of those students who had earned top positions .
Prizes were given to the students right from LKG to 12th std. on the occasion, NWHO gave away the prizes to the top position holder students as well as NWHO also announced to give books, fee and any other sort of assistance to the needy and poor students during session 2008-09 and in future also, who could not afford fee, uniforms and books. More
