Health Projects

Our mission is to save human lives

Health remains an integral component of NWHO’s development intervention since its inception in 1996. The World Health Organization estimates one-third of the world’s population - nearly 2 billion people - lack access to essential medicines. Almost 11 million children under the age of five die each year from largely preventable causes. It is estimated that by 2020, developing countries will suffer from severe shortages of medical assistance and staff. It's our firm belief that only healthy and educated communities can contribute to the development and uplift of societies.

NWHO’s health and nutrition programs include building, equipping and running healthcare centers, emergency medical treatment, general health camps, training midwives and traditional birth attendants, providing medication and carrying out health and hygiene training.

Our Programs

Essential Health Care (EHC) Programme

We arrange medical treatment and facilities to the deserving and the poor who cannot afford the expenses for their medical treatment. Ensuring equal access to essential health services, particularly for the poor and the marginalized segments of the society, is the cornerstone of NWHO's health interventions.   Our health program is divisible into four key areas: primary health care, reproductive health care, special health initiatives, and medical camps.

General Health Camps

One of the major objectives of the Health Sector is to educate the community on personal / community hygiene matters and preventive healthcare measures.
We conduct general health camps in regular intervals. These camps are generally run by the eminent Doctors and health workers among our patrons and well-wishers. Such programs consist ‘Health Check-up’, ‘Awareness Initiative’, ‘Consultation on Food-Habit’, ‘Training on Physical Fitness’, Immunization campaign to safeguard communities, especially women and children, against the infectious and fatal diseases, various immunization vaccines are give to them. These include TT Vaccine, Polio Vaccine and Hepatitis B & C Vaccines etc and distributing free medicine and doing free investigation.

Emergency Medical Response

NWHO provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies both globally and domestically. NWHO provides emergency medical support and NWHO’s doctors team provide primary health care, emergency medical treatment, perform surgery, vaccinate children, operate emergency nutrition and sanitation programs, and train local medical staff.
