The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony of New Al-Hijra Girls High School & New Al-Hijra Degree College was held on 31 March 2008 in New Al-Hijra Degree College in honour of those students who had earned top positions as well as in their internal qualifying examinations, these awards are awarded each year. Awards Ceremonies encourage meritorious students and promote the culture of education. Prizes were given to the students right from LKG to 12th std.The prizes for various competitions and overall excellence were awarded.

On the occasion, New World Hope Organization gave away the prizes to the top position holder students as well as NWHO also announced to give books, fee and any other sort of assistance to the needy and poor students during session 2008-09 and in future also, who could not afford fee, uniforms and books.

Due to increasing expenses in education, more than 70 % of the students in Pakistan are not able to carry on their education.Because of this, literacy rate in Pakistan is decreasing day by day. To control this situation, NWHO is helping the needy students by providing them books, uniforms and paying their fees.
